PACKING LIST

Our dress code is a reflection of both the inner and outer beauty of our campers. Please respect the dress code as a sign of camp unity and be mindful of dressing modestly at work and play. Please label all your items. Camp Monte Stella and Stellar Leadership, Inc. are not responsible for lost or damaged property, or items left behind at camp.

  • Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow
  • Pajamas
  • 2-3 Sweatshirts or sweaters. Coastal weather is windy. Temperatures are cooler in the mornings & evenings.
  • 2-3 Pairs long pants for cooler days.
  • 2-3 Pairs of 7"-9" length shorts; no short denim and/or cut-off shorts.
  • 6 T-shirts. No racerbacks, skimpy straps, or low-cut necklines and wide armholes. No underwear showing out of tops.
  • 1 Nice outfit for Mass. No mini-skirts, shorts, skimpy straps or flip-flops for Mass.
  • 1 Nice outfit for elegant dinner night (can be the same as Mass outfit)
  • 1 Outfit for Decades Dance (5th grade = 50's, 6th grade = 60's, 7th grade=70's, etc)
  • Modest one-piece bathing suit (no exceptions) and cover up for the beach.
  • 1 Bath towel, 1 beach towel
  • Underwear and socks for one week
  • 1 Pair athletic shoes for daily activities. 1 pair flip flops for beach and shower.
  • 1 Pair of dress shoes for Elegant Dinner
  • Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, comb, soap, sunscreen, etc.
  • 1 large laundry bag
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Rosary
  • Visor or hat
  • Notebook and pencil
  • Insect repellent
  • Flashlight and extra batteries 

Optional:
  • Sunglasses
  • Stationery and stamps to send letters
  • Books for free time
  • Musical instrument for talent show
  • Decorations for cabin theme: Campers will receive their cabin assignments in a letter mailed in early June.
  • Wristwatch (optional except for 9th graders). No cell phone clock.
  • Inexpensive digital camera or disposable camera. Pictures of other campers should only be taken with their permission. Cameras that can access the internet are not allowed because photos can instantly be uploaded to social media or used without parental permission.

What to leave behind:
  • Cellphones. Cellphones interfere with the trust and bonding that should take place with peers and counselors at an overnight camp. Allow your child to "unplug" from their electronics and situations with friends at home. Cellphones will be taken away and returned on closing day. Please communicate all arrangements with your child before camp begins.
  • Electronic gadgets: laptops, iPads, iPods, MP3 players, CD players, Nintendo DS and other handheld systems. Wi-fi is unavailable at the campsite.
  • Magazines
  • Over-the-counter medication
  • Snacks and other food

ELECTRONICS USE POLICY

  • Wi-fi is not available at the campsite.
