OPENING DAY, SUN. JULY 17
It was amazing to greet our returning and new campers and families! To see the smiles, hugs, and energy especially after the long drive was a powerful sign that our campers were ready for another unforgettable summer camp! Leadership Talk: Friendship - it's about the other person. Catechism Class: The Eucharist - love for the real presence of Our Lord.

SECOND DAY, MON. JULY 18
Today we kicked off with the sports and activities! Many flew bravely across the zip line, dove down the water slide, shot bullseyes, and splashed in the pool. All enjoyed a Chinese dinner while dressed in cabin theme garb - complete with Chinese takeout boxes and fortune cookies. We closed the night with a glowing campfire, s'mores, and St. Josemaria miracle stories. We're also enjoyed watching a deer and her two fawns scampering across the campsite! Leadership Talk: A Spirit of Sacrifice - gives us the freedom to serve. Catechism Class: Reconciliation - why we need it frequently.

THIRD DAY, TUES. JULY 19
Today we had crazy hair day at dinner - many cone heads and two "Justin Biebers" made appearances. The cabins faced off with their cheers while the moon rose above the trees. The 6th graders presented a three part rap, and the 9th graders did story time, and many demonstrated great examples of the cabin code! Leadership Talk: Unity of Life & Integrity - leads to authentic service. Catechism Class: Our Lady, Our Mother - her role in our lives.

FOURTH DAY, WED. JULY 20
Today we had a talent show rife with entertaining skills! From Irish dance to a traditional Chinese music instrument to poetry reading - it was quite the production! Everyone was dressed elegantly in their evening attire and looked beautiful -- an impressive and unique achievement for a summer camp! After dinner we held trial for the camp-wide "murder" game which we had been playing throughout the day, and the culprit was justly sentenced! Leadership Talk: Order - is a service, and gives us time and space to serve. Catechism Class: The Family - what marriage is, and the importance of family in society.

FIFTH DAY, THURS. JULY 21
Thursday morning began with an early morning plunge into the pool as punishment for the convicted "murderer" of our camp murder game. In the afternoon we had a camp wide, deadlocked game of capture the flag - many miles were run but none victoriously. After opposing teams shook hands, we had more activities and a family feud-style "Clash of Cabins" game. We paraded our silliest fashions for the Tacky Thursday dress up. After dinner, all our remaining energy was spent in a skirt-twirling, glowstick-shaking Decades Dance. The party continued when everyone went back to their cabins to enjoy the last night together! Leadership Talk: Prayer - our inspiration and help to serve.

LAST DAY, FRI. JULY 22
Parents joined us for Holy Mass in the morning with Fr. Paul. It was lovely to hear the unity of sweet, youthful voices singing the hymns. Out in the amphitheater, parents were treated to a show featuring several groups who worked together to choreograph their dances in less than a week! Lots of amazing talent from our campers this summer! Soon it was time to say goodbye. We encourage campers to keep in touch with their new friends from camp, and to join the various leadership programs offered by Charwick Study Center, a sponsor of SSLC. Visit Charwick.org
